CONTEXT

For the past twenty years, LILY’S Maxim has been a vibrant, colorful hotspot for modern asian cuisine right in the heart of Basel. A place where Art Basel curators, university students and families alike come together to enjoy fresh, tasty bites in a lively atmosphere.

CREATION

We celebrate their 20 years anniversary in a creative, bold and playful way. Just as one knows and loves LILY’S Maxim. During Art Basel we invite four emerging artists to the restaurant with one task: Individually interpret 20 years of LILY’S Basel in just 20 minutes, using 20 LILY’S essentials. The resulting nine unique plate artworks make up the heart of the campaign and are turned into limited–edition postcards and posters, which are visible in 50 locations throughout the city center of Basel. Additionally, we document the artist’s creative process in a catchy and engaging film, capturing 20 years of taste in a variety of formats.
